2086598 - 360 External Participants Do Not Receive Welcome Emails When Added to the System - Email Notifications


  • This article explains why a new user is imported into the system they get the Welcome new user message.
  • When a new user is imported into the system as ACTIVE_EXTERNAL they do not get the Welcome Email even though "Send Welcome Message to New Users." checkbox is checked.

  • This is by design: Adding External Users to a system will not trigger Welcome Email Notifications. External 360 participants should only be notified when they are actually selected to participate in a 360 as an External Participant. Therefore it is important that you have the "360 Document Evaluation Notification " email enabled in admin tools > Email Notifications.
