Symptom

This article presents an overview of the most common causes for a job not to appear on the Recruiting Marketing site.

Resolution

Incorrect Job posting type

Ensure that the job is not private.

You can check this by going to the Job Requisition > Job Postings > and checking if the job is posted in the Corporate Posting (or intranet if using ICS). If it is only posted Privately, it will not appear in RMK.

Job is not posted

Ensure that the job is live and not expired or future dated in RCM.

Recruiting Marketing Job Field Mapping

The mapping between the Recruiting Management and Recruiting Marketing fields could be incomplete or incorrect.

Issue with owner of the full feed job

The user that was used to create the full feed sync job in Provisioning must be always active. While configuring Real Time Job Sync, we need to create and schedule a full feed job to run every day to collect and update the jobs. This full feed job has a user owner, if this user is set to inactive in the system, the full feed job will fail. For this reason, we always recommend to set an admin user as owner of this job, as this admin user will probably not be deactivated.

Job size exceeds maximum allowed of 100000 bytes per job

To ensure jobs are not over the limit, the requisition must be cleaned up. Embedded graphics must be removed from the job description. The other primary culprit is editing the requisition in Word and pasting the content into RCM without following the process for cleaning up the word content which may contain unsupported formatting.

The best way is to use notepad to create the description and paste the content into the editor.

The rules may need to be adjusted

All strategy pages are created with rules. These rules define the criteria that the jobs must contain in order to display on that page.
If a job is not appearing on a strategy page, a reason might be that the rule does not contain the expected values for that job, so the rules have to be reviewed.

The posting end date is not accepted by RMK

RMK is using an enddate field type which has a limited date range of 1900-01-01 through 2079-06-06. If the posting end date entered in RCM is after the latter, it will result in the job not appearing on RMK with an error in the logs.

To resolve this, change the posting end date to before 2079-06-06 in RCM and repost the requisition.

Real Time Job Sync issue

IMPORTANT note If you are using Location object (multi-location), ensure that you are selecting a Primary option. If Location field doesn't have a primary option the job will not post in RMK.
