2893410 - When pulling data from SAP SuccessFactors into SAP Analytics Cloud, specific fields result in null values when they should not for a handful of users.

Symptom

When pulling data from SAP SuccessFactors (SF) into SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), specific fields result in null values when they should not for a handful of users.  Specifically, the user's Birthday and Ethnicity are not populated.

Environment

  • SAP Analytic Cloud 2020.2.2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new model
  2. Select "Get Data from a Datasource"
  3. Select the SF connection
  4. Create a new query to SF from SAC.
  5. Select SF fields that should be populated always, Birthday and Ethnicity.
  6. Filter for the specific users who show a Null for Birthday (userNav/Date of Birth).
    a. For purposes of troubleshooting, employee number 112446 (Lori Magee) will suffice. We have confirmed Lori's birthday is in SF.
    b. Minimum fields are User ID and userNav/Date of Birth.
  7. Resulting data brought into SAC view has Null values for birthday and ethnicity.
