2892764 - [EV30] E-verify Case being Submitted by a User with No Permissions - Onboarding 1.0

Symptom

  • E-verify case has been submitted by a manager/recruiter
  • E-verify case has been submitted with users with no permission
  • Expected users should be the one submitting the case

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0

Cause

  • The E-verify activity will automatically be assigned to the last person that was working on the Onboarding.
  • EV30 Version new feature behavior

Resolution

This is expected per the following behaviors:

  • The E-verify activity will automatically be assigned to the last person that was working on the Onboarding.

- This behavior supports the idea that a user who supposed to complete the Orientation step of the candidate is supposed to be the one who will also go through the E-verify activity of the candidate.

  • Automatic closure for all cases that receive an Employment Authorized (EA) result. Previously, only cases that initially received an EA result were automatically closed. Now there is no need for the employer to manually close any EA case.
  • This version supports the creation of draft cases. Allows the users to save  and continue to submit the case later.

- This means that the cases that will be created for the candidate can be initially be submitted by the initial assignee. If the case is in Employment Authorized, it will be automatically closed. However, for other status cases of E-verify, if there are Assign Option configured or the assignee has no permissions, system will look for the user who has permissions. You can see an event NEWHIRE_REASSIGN in the audit trail after the EV_SUBMIT_CASE event. The new user assigned will continue the activity.
