The Balance Display on PP3 UI and "available balance" field on the Absence Request UI is different to the Balance showing on the Time Accounts Tab on the workbench.
There are future absences existing for associated time type
Balance Calculation Display field on Time Type is set to "Consider Balance after Calculation date."

Reproducing the Issue
- Request leave in future
- Check Balance display on PP3 UI > Time Off Vs Workbench > Time Accounts tab
- Balance on PP3 UI is lower than Time Accounts tab
This is due to the different UIs respecting different settings.
The PP3 UI shows values based on Time Type level, where this Balance calculation setting is defined.
On the time accounts tab > we check the time account type level - where this field is not considered.
So in summary, the Time type level (PP3 UI and available balance) will consider future leaves, whereas the time accounts tab will not.
Note: In PP3 UI the future leaves are only deducted from balance if there is no future positive booking to cover these absences (manual adjustment / accrual / recalculation etc)
Simulation would need to be activated on time account type if the positive bookings have not yet been created.
Manual Adjustment on Jan 1, 2020 with quantity 3
Employee Time on an 20, 2020 with quantity -5
=> In this case the balance is only reduced by 2 days on PP3 UI.
For the time account type, accrual simulation is active as well. For example, if there was a simulated accrual of 10 days on Jan 1, 2020, the future absence would not reduce the balance at all.
