SAP Knowledge Base Article - Public

2879710 - SAC - Team Folders are appearing in the Public Folders and are unable to be deleted.


The following behavior occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

  • When trying to create teams with associated folders, they are appearing in the wrong places. Then when the System Admin tries to delete them, they are unable to do so. 


  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2020.2.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new team
  2. Create a New Folder for this team
  3. Observe that this Folder is placed in the Public Folders section
  4. Observe that all users can access folder. 
  5. Log in as System Admin
  6. Attempt to Delete the Folder
  7. Observe that you're unable to do so. 


This issue is currently under investigation by development.


Workaround - This can be resolved by deleting the teams and the folders, then re-creating them. This is due to when deleting a team, the team folder is also deleted automatically by the system.
