2867061 - Standard Token not Resolving on Offer Letter - Recruiting Management

Symptom

Standard Token are not getting resolved when creating an Offer Letter.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Setup a Offer Detail template with a standard field
  2. Create the Offer Approval and approve it
  3. Create the Offer Letter, select the template with the respective token and launch the preview
  4. Notice the standard token is not resolving

Cause

If you have a standard field in the Offer Detail that have a token which is not resolving, the possible reason will be the source of the standard field in the Offer Detail. For example, if you have the field salaryBase that the template-type is Job Requisition and DON'T have this configured in the Job Requisition Template, the token will not show any information, despite the fact that is an information being set in the Offer Detail step.

Resolution

To resolve the value into the token, you can either configure the field in the original source, like the Job Requisition, Job Application, or make the field in the Offer Detail as standalone or custom.

Note also that you need to define the token properly inside the offer letter template. A common mistake is to type the token instead of selecting it through the 2020-03-19_13-50-43.png icon. For example, the Candidate Name token, if is typed like [[CANDIDATE FIRST NAME]], it won't be resolved because the correct token is [[CANDIDATE_FIRST_NAME]]. Please, use the token button when creating the template. You will have all the tokens that are available and the token will be added automatically.
