2859568 - /SSB/SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME_SRV missing when using S/4HANA Cloud

Symptom

Unable to use bank statement application. Smart Business Service is not available in SAP S/4HANA Cloud instance.

Error: /SSB/ SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME_SRV does not exist.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1908

Cause

Role is not assigned to the user.

Resolution

Administrator needs to assign the role BR_ANALYTICS_SPECIALIST. To do that, do the following:

  1. Login to S/4HANA Cloud as an Administrator
  2. Open the Maintain Business Role application
  3. Search for BR_ANALYTICS_SPECIALIST. If it does not exist, click on Create From Template button to create the role
  4. Click on the Role after finding it
  5. Click on Assigned Business Users
  6. Click on Edit
  7. Click on Add
  8. Once done, click on Save
  9. Retest your application

Note:

Please make sure the other roles are assigned to the user based on the Fiori library configuration section indicated below:

  1. Select SAP S/4HAN Cloud from the drop down list
  2. Click on Implementation Information
  3. Click on Configuration
  4. Check if the following roles listed there are assigned to the user.
