2856746 - New Hire Activities available for candidates even though no process is configured

Symptom

  • New Hire Activities can be completed by hiring manager for candidates, even though no New Hire Activities are configured.
  • All New Hire Activity processes were deleted, but New Hire Activities are still created for candidates.

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to Admin Centre >  On/Offboarding > Configure new hire activity planning process.

2. No processes configured.

3. Onboard a new candidate.

4. Go to Onboarding > New Hire Activities > Navigate to new candidate.

5. Activities available for completion by hiring manager for candidate.

Cause

When no New Hire Activities process exists, a list of default activities are automatically generated for candidates.

Resolution

To have no New Hire Activities created for candidates, an empty New Hire Activity process must be created and set to default.

1. Go to Admin Centre >  On/Offboarding > Configure new hire activity planning process.

2. Select 'Create'.

3. Select 'Edit' and save (without adding any activites).

4. Select process and select 'Default' option.

New candidates Onboarded will have no new Hire Activities created/available for completion.
