What to do when a new super admin was provided by Support team?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

Customer does not have access to the instance and requested to reset an admin password or create a new super admin by Support Team.

Resolution

As soon as you received the super admin by support team, this new user will not have any RBP role/group assigned it. This new user is generated with Manage Role Based Permission, with this permission this user is able to start a implementation or perform the configurations in the system. For this please follow the below steps:

  1. Go to Admin Center or search on Action Search by Manage Role Based Permission;
  2. You can find the tool as below:
  3. Now you need to Add this new Super Admin in this feature;
  4. Click on Save and do a Logout and login once again;

Now you have access to Manage the RBP so If this is the first time that you are accessing the system you can follow the KBA : 2855468

If your instance is already implemented and you only have lost the access you need to check if you have a super admin group and a super admin role for this you will need to review the roles and groups of the instance.

You can follow the below steps to review the role:

  1. Go to Admin Center;
  2. Manage Permission Roles
  3. Search by the roles and identificate the Super Admin Role;
  4. Click on the Role and check "Grant thi to:" option, this is also the 2° step of the Role;
  5. Check What is the assigned groups;

Now you have to assign this new user to the group:

  1. Go to Admin Center;
  2. Manage Permission Groups;
  3. Search by the found group of the admin role;
  4. Click on the role and Assign this new user for the group;
