Symptom

  • Failed to add calculated column with error "Set Expression failed" when importing data into existing model in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2019.19.1

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log on to SAC tenant. 
  2. Open one existing model and go to Data Management.
  3. Choose Import Data From File in Draft Sources and then select a local file.
    => The file will be loaded as a draft resource
  4. Click the loaded draft source and then add a Calculated Column with Formula on two measures like A+B.
  5. Click OK button.
    => The calculated column cannot be added with error "Set Expression failed".
    => The issue doesn't happen when importing data to create a new model.

Cause

This issue is currently under investigation by Development.
