2843620 - Receiving Error: "Asynchronous task is completed with error." [DocuSign] - Onboarding 1.0

Symptom

  • Account does not have permission to send to Certified Delivery recipient type.
  • Can't create envelope
  • An error occurred while executing DocuSignUploadAsyncTask.

Reproducing the Issue

When trying to take the activity, error shows "Asynchronous task is completed with error."

Cause

According to DocuSign Community Article: Link

Certified Delivery is an option that, when selected, senders are able to use the Acknowledge receipt Recipient Action. With this Recipient Action the recipient must receive the completed documents for the envelope to be completed, but the recipient does not need to sign, initial, date or add information to any of the documents.

You are receiving this error because the option is not enabled for you by your Admin. If you contact them, they can enable it for you.

Enable Send to Certified Delivery (Check box) (https://support.docusign.com/guides/cdse-admin-guide-sending-and-signing-options) – When selected, senders are able to use the Acknowledge receipt Recipient Action. With this Recipient Action the recipient must receive the completed documents for the envelope to be completed, but the recipient does not need to sign, initial, date or add information to any of the documents. This option requires that the Sequential Signing UI option is enabled.

If you do not need this option, in your recipient list for the Document in question, change “Acknowledge Receipt” (https://support.docusign.com/guides/cdse-user-guide-sending-add-recipients) to another option.
