2811473 - Cannot Create Duplicate Entries in Collaboration View Error When Migrating Customers

Symptom

During the migration of customers to the system, the following message is raised in the simulation step:

Cannot Create Duplicate Entries in Collaboration View

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign - all versions

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enter the Business Configuration work center.
  2. In the Overview view, search for the activity Migration of Customers.
  3. Enter the sub-activity Migrate Customers Using the Migration Tool.
  4. Select a migration template, and click on Execute Migration -> Step-by-Step.
  5. Proceed to step 3 - Simulation.
  6. After the simulation is completed, the error message is raised.

Cause

This is caused due to an inconsistent setup of the migration template in the sheets related to Collaboration.

Resolution

In the migration template for customers, the sheets for Collaboration and Document Output Channels are linked. Considering this, both sheets must be fulfilled in order to properly be processed.

Additionally, in case the question "Do you sell products and services using multiple distribution channels?" is scoped, the sheet Collaboration MultiChannel needs to be populated as well.

In order to find the mentioned scoping question, follow the below steps:

  1. Enter the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Navigate to the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select the project and click on Edit Project Scope.
  4. Proceed to step 4 - Questions.
  5. Expand Sales -> Account and Activity Management -> Account Management.
