How to upgrade the spreadsheet Employee Delta Export without losing custom columns.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Delta Export Excel spreadsheet

Reproducing the Issue

You already have a Employee Delta Export spreadsheet with custom columns and need to upgrade.

Resolution

If you have an oldest version from Employee Delta Export with custom columns:

Note that images are examples and different versions can be showed on your environment.

Workbook version: old

Custom columns:

          1805-custom.JPG

To upgrade to new version:

  1. Get the updated files according KBA 2358156 - How to query data using the MS Excel Add-In from Successfactors

  2. After download the updated file, go to Developer tab > Upgrade Workbook

  3. Click OK

  4. Choose the updated file that you saved on step 1

  5. Click YES

  6. Click OK

A new tab will appear with updgrade information:

         1905-upgrade6.JPG

And a new version is installed:

         1905-version.JPG
