2800126 - How to Permission Recruiting E-Mail and Offer Letter Templates

Symptom

  • As a recruiting user, it is possible to send an ad-hoc e-mail to a candidate.
  • How can recruiting users have the ability to select the subsidiary when selecting the e-mail template, to narrow down the number of the recruiting e-mail templates to select from?
  • How can recruiting users with admin privileges have the ability to review the e-mail templates, organized by subsidiary?
  • How can recruiting users with admin privileges who is creating a new recruiting e-mail template have the ability to define the e-mail template for a business unit/subsidiary, so it can be used later in communication between applicants and recruiters of that specific business unit/subsidiary?

Note: This is a new feature in release b1905 and is currently only available in Preview instances.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Resolution

  1. In Manage Recruiting Settings the following permissions needs to be enabled:

Scroll down to section "Permission Email Templates". This section contains two switches:

  • Permission "Contact Candidate" email templates
  • Permission "Offer Letter" email templates
  1. Go to Manage Permissions Roles > "Recruiting Email Templates" and see the two options:
  • Permission "Contact Candidate" email templates
  • Permission "Offer letter" email templates

The above two options will show up in Role Based Permissions (RBP) only if the corresponding feature permissions are enabled in Manage Recruiting Settings are enabled.

Note:

  • This does not restrict what offer letter templates will show, it will only restrict which email templates will show.
  • This is based on role-based permissions and not based on the role the user has on a requisition.
