2792578 - How to Make Local File Upload Available in Attachments for Tickets on the Mobile App

Symptom

You want to upload a local file as a ticket attachment using the windows or mobile app, but the only available options is to provide a picture directly from your camera.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. On the mobile or windows app, go to the Services work center.
  2. Open the tickets view.
  3. Open a ticket.
  4. Go to the attachments tab.
  5. Add an attachment from a local file.
  6. The only available button for upload is the camera one.

Cause

Your tenant has been configured to only allow instant photos as attachments on mobile.

Resolution

In Fiori:

  1. Go to the Administrator work center.
  2. Open General Settings.
  3. Click on Mobile Settings.
  4. Click on edit (pencil icon on the bottom right corner).
  5. Toggle the option "Disable Photo Upload from Library" to "No".

In HTML5:

  1. Go to the Administrator work center.
  2. Open the General Settings tab.
  3. Click on Mobile Settings.
  4. Click on Edit button (bottom right corner)
  5. Uncheck the checkbox for "Disable Photo Upload from Library".

Once the you try to upload a file again after following the above steps, you will see a new button to upload your files:
