2791893 - .ref file does not show any fields in the productive tenant

Symptom

You are trying to access a .ref file built on top of your custom solution on your productive tenant. You have created KUT fields which you wish to manipulate in your custom logic, but these are not visible when you access the .ref file via SDK.

Environment

  • SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer
  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud Application Studio

Reproducing the Issue

As a pre requisite, you have created a custom solution with a .ref file and extended KUT fields. When trying to access .ref file from Cloud Application Studio, the .ref file itself is empty, therefore no KUT fields can be seen. This is depicted in the below screenshot:

Cause

The .ref file on the productive tenant is in lock mode, which is why you are unable to see any fields or values. However this file exists in SAP back-end and is fully active and functional. This is expected behavior within the SDK itself, to prevent any changes which may be done on a productive tenant. This would have resulted in an unwanted inconsistency.

Resolution

This .ref file can be looked up on the test tenant from which solution was downloaded. You need to go back to the test tenant and open the .ref file there, which should then display all of your KUT fields.
