2789770 - Share icon is disabled for Model and Story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• User can see and open the Model or Story which is created by other users.
• However, the Share icon is grey out for this user.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2019.8

1. Log on to SAC by user A.
2. Create a model or story and save it to Public folder.
3. Log on to SAC by another user B.
4. Go to the Public folder and confirm user B can see the model or story which is created by A.
5. However, the Share icon is disabled for user B.

By default, the objects which is saved under Public folder doesn't grant Share rights to All users.

Grant Share rights to user B or simply to All users as steps below:

For only grant to special user:

1. Use user A (the user who creates the model or story) to log on to SAC and go to Public folder.
• Note: If user A is not available then log on to SAC with system owner account.
• Select "Browse > Files" from the "Main Menu"
• Go to Public folder
2. Click the Share icon for the model or story.
3. In Add Users or Teams, select the user which you want to grant the rights. And in Access, select Custom.
4. Check on Share then click OK.
5. Click Share button to save the change.

For grant share to all users.

1. Use user A (the user who creates the model or story) to log on to SAC and go to Public folder.
• Note: If user A is not available then log on to SAC with system owner account.
• Select "Browse > Files" from the "Main Menu"
• Go to Public folder
2. Click the Share icon for the model or story.
3. Expand Shared with All Users. For the row of All Users, select Custom in Access column.
4. Check on Share then click OK.

In case owner is not available to do above change , then system owner and administrator can do the following steps to change share setting as well:

1. Log on to SAC URL with system owner or admin account.
2. Browse > System(not my file), there'll be existing content list.
3. Select target model or story , change the share setting there.
