Audit Framework

LOD-SF-PLT-AUDR CRF-17444   Automating (Schedule & View Schedules) the Generation of Change Audit report.  You can now schedule the generation of change audit reports. You can define the type of audit report you want to schedule, the frequency of report generation, and where you want the completed report to be made available, in your SFTP folder or on the Change Audit page.

Before: customer was suppose to generate the chagne audit reports manually and there was no offering to schedule the change audit report execution.

After:  Now with the release, customer admins can schedule the executoin of change audit report based on the business requirement and decide where to place the generated reports.

There is no support involvement needed to scheudle the execution of audit reports.

Its a self service feature and customer admins with permission to generate change audit reports can also schedule the execution.

LOD-SF-PLT-AUDR MDF-24966 MDF change audit data for MDF role-based permissions and MDF-based rules Now, when you generate an RBP Role Change Report, using the self-service Change Audit page in Admin Center, the report includes MDF change audit data for MDF role-based permissions and MDF-based rules.

Before: The MDF role based permisson and MDF-based rules were not part of the change auidt reports for RBP roles.

After:  Now with the release, The change audit report for RBP role changes will contain MDF role-based permissions and MDF-based rules

LOD-SF-PLT-AUDR MDF-24476 Change audit log report for Metadata Framework configuration and data change It is now possible to generate a change audit log report for Metadata Framework configuration and data change. To create a change audit report for MDF configuration objects, go to 'Admin Center' > 'Change Audit Reports' > 'Create Configuration Data Report' and click 'MDF Configuration Data' tile. For accessing the audit for MDF data, go to 'Admin Center' > 'Change Audit Reports' > 'Create Business Data Report' and click 'MDF Change History Data' tile. Before: It was not possible to generate audit report for MDF configuration and business data.

After:  Now with the release, Admins can generate the change audit report for MDF configuration and business data

To create a change audit report for MDF configuration objects, go to 'Admin Center' > 'Change Audit Reports' > 'Create Configuration Data Report' and click 'MDF Configuration Data' tile.

For accessing the audit for MDF data, go to 'Admin Center' > 'Change Audit Reports' > 'Create Business Data Report' and click 'MDF Change History Data' tile.

KBA 2790859 - Change Audit Log Report for Metadata Framework Configuration and Data Change

Data Protection and Privacy:

LOD-SF-PLT-DRM STE-11141   New Status in Purge Reports We have added two new statuses ("Completed with error" and "Completed with empty report")  to purge reports to make them more helpful.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Before: Purge reports showed the "Completed" status even when there were errors or no data was purged for some of the records within the purge report.

After:  There are two new statuses that indicate a problem. The "Completed with error" status indicates there are errors that are preventing some data from being purged. The "Completed with empty report" status indicates that no data was purged based on the criteria in the request.

LOD-SF-PLT-DRM STE-11140 Option to delete preview & completed reports from purge request monitor tool You can now delete preview reports and completed reports from the Purge Request Monitor page when they are no longer needed. Purge reports can contain personal information so you may need to periodically remove them from storage, for data protection and privacy.

Before: There was no utility to delete preview reports and completed reports.

After:  The ability to remove purge reports is controlled by a new role-based permission. Customer admins with this permission can remove purge reports on the Purge Request Monitor page.

KBA 2789215 - Remove Preview and Complete Reports for Legacy Data Purge Request
LOD-SF-PLT-DRM STE-11314 Limit Increase for maximum number of users in a single purge request We have increased the maximum number of users who can be included in a single purge request. This limit was too low for large organizations who are running the data purge for the first time.

Before: A purge request was limited to a maximum of 200 users in a single Run.

After:  This limit was too low for large organizations who are running the data purge for the first time, so we raised the limit to 10,000 users.

LOD-SF-PLT-DRM STE-11142 Improved Error Handling for failed purge requests We have added more information to the job details on Purge Request Monitor page to make them more helpful.

Before: When customer was running a purge job with exceptions, in view job details, system only shows the latest exception which caught in the code.

After:  Now with improved error handling for purge jobs with exceptions the veiw job details contain complete error details which helps in clear understaing of the exact issue.

KBA 2790354 - Improvement of ViewJob Details Error Messages - Data Retention Management (DRM) and Data Retention Time Management (DRTM)

Document Management:

LOD-SF-PLT-DOC PLT-74242   Default Purge Retention Period for "Deleted" Documentation  "Deleted" documents are attachments that are removed from the UI by end-users but that remain available to administrators on the Manage Documents page, in case of accidental deletion. Periodically, you may want to purge these "deleted" documents from storage, to free up more storage space or for data protection and privacy. 

Before: Admins were supposed to manually purge the deleted documents from Manage documents page.

After:  Documents marked as "deleted" on the Manage Documents page are now purged from storage after a default retention period of one month. You can also now specify a different retention period on the Company System and Logo Settings page.

Documents marked as "deleted" are purged from storage automatically after the specified retention period.

LOD-SF-PLT-DOC PLT-72852 Configure document attachment settings in Admin Center

Customer admins can now configure document attachment settings in Admin Center, on the Company System and Logo Settings page.

Customer admins can use these settings to set limits on attachment storage, attachment size, or the frequency of email notifications when you are approaching your storage limit.

Before: To update the settings and limits customer admins needed to involve support team or partner teams.

After:  Customer admins can update these settings directly from admin center.

Navigate to Admin Center > Company System and Logo Settings. to perform the changes.

KBA 2518360 - Manage Documents Feature

LOD-SF-PLT-HOM UI-18164   Business Rule Driven Custom Tiles Cusotmer Admins can associate a custom tile to multiple business rules to define different behavior for your target users. The rules engine determines which content to display for the target user based on the rules. With this feature, you can create one custom tile for multiple purposes.

Before: Business Rule driven customer tile creation had dependency of Onboarding 2.0.

After:  Now the custom tile rule scenario has been extended to all modules. You can create any type of business rule-driven custom tiles.

KBA 2725487 - Custom Tiles Based on Business Rules

LOD-SF-PLT-HOM UI-17589 Enhanced hire date-based tiles

Hire date-based tiles such as Tour and custom tiles have been enhanced so that all new users can see them on Home Page as long as their hire dates matches the criteria.

Before: Previously, only users created via Onboarding can see the hire date-based tiles on the Home Page such as Tour and Custom Tiles. Users created with Employee Import or Add New Employee were not able to see these tiles.

After:  With this enhancement, all new hires are able to see these tiles on the Home Page as long as their hire dates match the criteria.

Instance Synchronization:

LOD-SF-PLT-SYN TLS-11764   Downloading a Sync Report Result The prerequisite is added as you can now download the sync job report if you have any one of the permissions from Manage Instance Synchronization

Before: Previously, to download a sync report, you must have permission specific to a particular artifact that you synced.

After:  You can now download the report if you have any one of the sync permissions irrespective of the artifacts synced.

LOD-SF-PLT-SYN TLS-11763 Synchronizing Data models

Dependency of having Employee Central Foundation objects feature enabled in the instance to synchronize data models such as  Succession Data Model, Country Specific Succession Data Model have been removed.

Before: Previously, customer admins were able to sync Succession Data Model, Country Specific Succession Data Model, only when Employee Central Foundation Object feature was enabled in your target instance.

After:  Admins can now sync these Data Models without Employee Central Foundation Object enabled in your target instance.

LOD-SF-PLT-SYN TLS-11762 Enhanced Search MDF Entities with partial external code 

To help cusotmer admins to search MDF entities easily while performing instance syncrhonization, the partial external code search has been developed.

Before: Previously, to search an MDF entity in the Instance Synchronization Wizard, cusotmer admin had to enter the full external code.

After:  Now, admins can search the MDF entities by entering the partial external code.

LOD-SF-PLT-SYN TLS-11757 Prerequisite to sync MDF Picklists and Legacy Picklists. You can now sync picklists (MDF and Legacy) only when both the source and target instances are either migrated to MDF Picklists or have Legacy Picklists. A pre-requisite is added to convey this condition.

Before: Previously, admins were able to sync picklists (Legacy Picklists and MDF Picklists) between instances that are migrated and not migrated to MDF Picklists. For example, Source instance is migrated to MDF picklists and target instance is not migrated or vice-versa. It was possible to sync these picklists between instances. This could have resulted in corrupting MDF Picklists.

After:  Now, there is a validation in the form of a popup message that allows you to sync picklists only between the instances that are either Legacy Picklists or MDF Picklists.

KBA 2790960 - Prerequisite to sync MDF Picklists and Legacy Picklists
LOD-SF-PLT-SYN TLS-11223 Updated the navigation path to Instance Synchronization Wizard. The navigation path is updated as an enhancement for the admins to view and select either Instance Synchronization Wizard or Instance Refresh from the same page

Before: Previously, to copy or overwrite configurations and data  admins selected Instance Synchronization Wizard or Instance Refresh respectively from different pages.

After:  Now, admins have a single page from which you can select the Instance Synchronization Wizard or Instance Refresh to copy or overwrite configuration and data respectively.

Click Configuration Copy (Instance Synchronization), to select Instance Synchronization Wizard, or Click Full Copy (Instance Refresh) to select Instance Refresh.

The option to select these tools are available only when the tool permissions are enabled for the user.

LOD-SF-PLT-RBP PLA-6581   Job Relationships:  Delegate Features A new functionality of Delegate fatures has been developed. The delegate users you assign will have access to your direct and indirect reports and can perform tasks that have been permissioned to you in the granted Permission Role, whilst acting as your delegate.

Before: New Functionality.

After:  As a manager, you can use the Delegate 1 and Delegate 2 relationship roles to assign permissions to up to two individuals, allowing them to act as your delegates. The delegate users, you assign, will have access to your direct and indirect reports and can perform tasks that have been permissioned to you, while acting as your delegates. You can assign up to two delegates per manager and each delegate can be given separate tasks or permissions to cover different functional areas. Please note, delegates will not have access to the delegators data.

LOD-SF-PLT-RBP MDF-27461 MDF Permission name change

"Read/Write Permission on Metadata Framework" Role-based Permissions for Metadata Framework is renamed.

Before: Previously, the permission was named as Read/Write Permission on Metadata Framework.

After:  In Q2 2019, the permission name is changed to 'Access to non-secured objects'.

LOD-SF-PLT-IAS PLT-61320   SAP Cloud Identity Authentication tenants through Upgrade Center You can now use Upgrade Center to request an SAP Cloud Identity Authentication tenant and connect it to your SAP SuccessFactors system.

Before: New Functionality.

After:  The "Create SuccessFactors Identity Authentication Service Integration" upgrade creates a new Identity Authentication tenant for you or finds your existing tenant. Then it configures Identity Authentication to process logins on behalf of your SAP SuccessFactors system, based on its default settings. After running the upgrade, you can change the default settings or configure additional settings in Identity Authentication before turning it on in your system. When you're ready, use a separate upgrade called "Enable SuccessFactors to SAP Cloud Platform Identity Authentication Service Integration" to turn it on.

User Managment:

LOD-SF-PLT-MNG PLA-6089   Manage users Previously, in the dropdown lists of fields in Admin Center > Manage Users, for example, Department and Division, only Option IDs were displayed instead of Option Values. Now Option Values will be displayed along with Option IDs. This will make it easier for you to understand and select.

Before: Under Manage user section only Option ids were displayed for the fieds configured as picklist. This was difficult to manage user data from administrators perspective.

After:  Post release, both Option ids and option values are displayed under admin center > Manage users section.

**Please note, manage users is a non-Employee Central Functionality.

Proxy Management:

Proxy Admins by default have ability to proxy as another user within their Target Population for all modules.

Proxy Import > Remove All option can be used to restrict admins from accessing all module pages while proxying as another user.

Before: Proxy Import > Remove All option was not removing proxy assignments for admins granted with Proxy Management Permissions.

After:  Post release, Proxy Import > Remove All option will remove proxy assignments for all users including admins granted with Proxy Management Permissions.

**Please note, manage users is a non-Employee Central Functionality.
