Since b1611, it is possible to define a Promotion from Compensation that will be effective in Employee Central.
To display the Promote link on the compensation form, the first step is to enable the "Enable Compensation-EC promotioin integration under Company Settings in Actions for all plans
Second, it is necessary to set up the RBP permissions. A new section in the RBP roles is created with the name of Employee Central-Compensation Integration.
Third, we need to follow the same process as for regular Promotions, it is to set includeJobSelector="true" and to add Paygrade, Job code, Job Role, Job Family and Final Job Code, Final Job Role, final Job Family and Final Paygrade in our template.
We have to remember to set the Final fields to Read Only and Reloadable. Otherwise, we will receive an error message.
Depending on the implementation, the Job Family, Job role and Job Code EC fields may vary. For the Final Job Family, finaly Job role, Final Job Code and Final Pay Grade, we need to define the same EC fields but in this case, the fields will come from a different EC category "EC Promotion" that is generated as soon as we enable EC Promotions on our instance.
Note: If the Field Based Permission is enabled for the template, please make sure that the users who will promote employees have the edit permission for all the 4 FINAL job fields.
