In the 1902 release, certain changes have been made to the way Business Rules are created for MDF Objects.
SAP SuccessFactors 1902
Please refer to the fllowing handbook pages for more information on these changes:
Now, when creating an MDF related rule, you will have to define the Purpose for the rule. Defining a Purpose will determine what the rule can be used for (Workflow, Alert, onInit, etc)
Additional Parameters have been added that be used to validate/check values in Previous and Future records.
As of the 1902 release, you will no longer be able to update existing Workflow Rules for MDF related features or objects. Instead if new logic is required for existing Workflow Rules, the rule will need to be recreated using the new Purpose "Workflow". Please also note that the new rules with purpose "Workflow" will need to be placed "onSave" and not "onValidate" on the MDF object.
Again, please refer to the MDF handbook pages linked above for further guidance.
