2761068 - Error: Login fails with StatusCode in ResponseMessage != OK; please refer to the database trace for more information in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)


After logging into SAP Analytics Cloud, you see the message:

  • StatusCode in ResponseMessage != OK; please refer to the database trace for more information


  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2019
  • Non-SAP datacenter
  • You are using a custom identity provider (IDP)

Reproducing the Issue

  1.  Navigate to SAP Analytics Cloud and login.


Your SAP Analyics Cloud user may have an incorrect SAML mapping. The nameID from your IDP is case-sensitive and must be set for your user in SAP Analytics Cloud in the Security > Users page.


Determine the nameID your IDP is sending to SAP Analytics Cloud and ask your SAP Analytics Cloud system owner or administrators to update your user with this value.

Check with your IDP team or technology provider for this information.
