When you try to associate an account and contact to a lead, the system creates a new account and contact. This happens although you have selected an existing account and contact from the duplicate check list.

Reproducing the Issue
Open the system in the Fiori Client.
- Go to the Sales work center.
- Go to the Leads view.
- Open a lead with a nonexisting account and contact.
- Click Action button.
- Click Associate Account and Contact.
- Highlight an account and contact from the list of duplicates.
- Click Save.
The system creates a new account and contact although an existing account and contact was selected.
You have not clicked the tick symbol (Accept duplicate record) in the Accept column. Instead you just highlighted the row of the account and contact.
Click the tick symbol. Once this is done, the fields First Name, Last Name, Account, and so on, become read only and you can click Save.
