2739706 - Error message "The user does not have permission to access the requested resource." appears when creating Import Data Connection to OData Services from SAP S/4HANA in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Error message "The user does not have permission to access the requested resource." appears in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) when creating Import Data Connection to individual OData Service exposed from SAP S/4HANA

• SAP Analytics Cloud, Enterprise Edition

1. Log on to SAC.
2. Create an Import Data Connection using OData Services to On-Premise S/4HANA system.
   => Please ensure that all prerequisites have been completed.
3. Choose Connect to an On-Premise OData service option.
4. Enter Data Service URL as "https://<S/4HANA SERVER:PORT>".
5. Provide the authentication details based on the Authentication Type you selected.
6. Click OK button.
   => Error message "The user does not have permission to access the requested resource." appears.
   => You can also find the following error message from Network trace in Chrome Developer Tools.
   "Forbidden Access denied to resource /$metadata on system <S/4HANA SERVER:PORT>. In case this was a valid request, ensure to expose the resource correctly in your cloud connector."

• When using Import Data Connection to OData Services,  you could only create individual connections to all of the individual services exposed for CDS view from SAP S/4HANA.

• Enter the URL of individual OData Service into Data Service URL in format "https://<S/4HANA SERVER:PORT>/sap/opu/odata/sap/<Service Name>".
  => Please ensure that you can access the same URL from browser directly using same authentication & credential.
• Alternatively, you can create an Import Data Connection to SAP S/4HANA which needs to enter URL as "https://<S/4HANA SERVER:PORT>" only.
  => It will allow you to connect to category services in S/4HANA where the list of all OData Services could be accessed and consumed to import data.
