2700254 - First and Last Name of Employee does not Show up in the Staging Area

Symptom

You replicate employees from SAP ERP to Cloud for Customer (C4C) and see that in the Staging area, some employees are missing the first and last name.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Replicate an employee to C4C through the Staging Area.
  2. Check the employee in the Employee search of the Staging area.
  3. Observe that it is missing the first and last name in the table.

NOTE: The names are maintained if you open the employee Overview tab.

Cause

The validity period of the employee is in the future.

First name and last name are part of the PERSONAL_DETAILS node which can be multiple for the same employee (Cardinality 'n') based on the validity period.

However, on the UI we always show what is valid as of today, therefore data binding in UI is done to current personal information i.e. personal information valid as of now.

Resolution

You need to maintain the validity period for the employee which includes the current date, or wait until the validity period is the same as the current date.
