The value of the Time Type always defaults to Working Hours when Auto Time Recording is used.
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
Suppose you have a Code list restriction that defaults the value of the Time Type to other than Working hours.
Go to Time recording Workcenter.
- In the Time Entries View, Click on the Start Recording button.
- In Auto Time Recording pop up that appears , check the Time Type.
You may notice that The Time Type defaults to Working hours.
When using the Auto Time Recording feature, it is always required to have a time type while auto start/stop recording. Since the Time type field is already defaulted , the default value maintained in the Code list restriction will be ignored.
Time Type always defaults to Working Hours when Auto Time Recording is used and it is a standard system behavior.
