2696283 - Recruiting Tokens are not working in the email notifications set up under Admin Center - E-Mail Notification Templates Settings

Symptom

There are certain email notiffications which are relevant to Recruiting but are not available under Recruiting Email Triggers. Instead, these emails are available under Admin Center >> E-mail Notification Templates Settings. Examples of these emails are- Recruiting Agency notification, New Recruiting Operator Notification, Recruiting Interviewer Notification etc.

The Recruiting tokens like [[RECRUITER_FULL_NAME], [[JOB_REQ_TITLE]],  [[HIRING_MGR_FULL_NAME]] etc, configured in the above email templates, do not resolve values in the email notifications.

Reproducing the Issue

  • Go to Admin Center >> E-mail Notification Templates Settings.
  • For any of the Recruiting-related email notifications, edit the template to include tokens like [[RECRUITER_FULL_NAME], [[JOB_REQ_TITLE]],  [[HIRING_MGR_FULL_NAME]] etc.
  • When the email is triggered to a recipient, the above tokens are not resolving values.

Resolution

The email notifications available under E-mail Notification Templates Settings are not specific to Recruiting module. These are owned by Platform and can be used across other modules as well. All the standard Recruiting tokens might not work on these email notifications and that is a known behavior.
