2689494 - Mobile QR code sent via email is not working and it takes to SSO login page or blank page

Symptom

Unable to activate the profile in SuccessFactors mobile application when scaning the QR code sent via email as setup instructions.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Mobile Application (in both iOS and Android versions).

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the instance;
  2. Click in the logged user label (in the top-right corner);
  3. Go to Options > Mobile;
  4. Choose "Send Setup Instructions" to email ID;
  5. Install SuccessFactors mobile application (you can install anytime in the step-by-step);
  6. Open the QR Code by clicking in it's link sent with the instructions;
  7. Scan the QR shown after clicking in the link.

Expected behavior: Profile should activate automatically in the app. 

Actual Behavior: The browser launch the SSO login page or it just takes to a blank page in the app. 

Cause

It's an expected behavior. QR Code activation by email will not work if the customer uses partial SSO. To authenticate the profile automatically in the mobile app using the QR Code by e-mail, the Full SSO needs to be enabled.

Resolution

Users can activate their profiles using a personalized QR code (profile-level) that they can retrieve from their options page.

  1. Login to the instance;
  2. Cick in the logged user label (in the top-right corner);
  3. Go to Options > Mobile;
  4. Choose "Activate via Camera";
  5. Scan the QR code shown in this same page using your mobile device.
