2686069 - Impossible to upload Background Image in Theme Manager

Symptom

Unable to upload a background image in Theme Manager

Error - upload failed!

Environment

Bizx

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Theme Manager 
  2. Select the Theme you want to upload the background image to
  3. Go to Fine Tune
  4. Go to Background
  5. Select "upload an image"
  6. Select your image (to replicate the issue ensure the image is more than 2,048 kilobytes)
  7. Error received "upload failed!"
  8. Check splunk logs for more details on the error

"The file size of <imagename>.jpg exceeds the maximum file size limit of 2,097,152 kilobytes or the file size is 0"

Cause

The splunk error message is wrong. The maximum file size of the image is 2,048 kilobytes or 2,097,152 bytes

The error doesn't correctly convert the bytes to kilobytes

Resolution

This will be fixed in a future release. Currently hoped to be included in the 1811 release, however this is not confirmed at this time.

Workaround:

For now, the work-around is to assume that "2,097,152 kilobytes" in the error message is actually "2,097,152 bytes"
