2679237 - Self-assigned curricula gets removed by Assignment Profile


  • User self-assigns a Curricula from the catalog. Some time after the self-assignment, the same user is removed from an Assignment Profile that had the same curricula for automatic assignment. After the user is removed and Assignment Profile is propagated, self-assigned Curricula is removed from user's learning plan.

Reproducing the Issue

  • User 1 self-assigns curricula A.
  • Admin builds an AP to assign curricula A and User 1 is part of the AP Rules.
  • AP is propagated.
  • User 1 does not get the curricula A assigned twice.
  • User 1 is removed from AP Rules.
  • AP is propagated.
  • AP removes the self-assigned Curricula A from User 1.


  • From Product Management:

"If the user that already has the assignment is later removed from the assignment profile and its propagated, the AP takes the action to remove the curricula accordingly."


  •  This is the system expected behavior confirmed by Product Management team.
