2678707 - Inspection Plan error - Creation of Quality Inspection Failed

When trying to release the Production Order inspection related error messages appear: "Creation of quality inspection failed."  "Inspection plan could not be determined." appear.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Production Control work center.
2. Go to the Production Orders view.
3. Select the respective production order in preparation and press Release. 

Error messages appear:

 "Creation of quality inspection failed."
 "Inspection plan could not be determined."

Either

• an inspection plan for the resource XYZ used in the production order is missing (XYZ refers to a resource id),
• or the resource used in the production order and the Inspection plan differ: In the production order the resource used for the quality check is XYZ whereas in the inspection plan resource ABC is maintained (ABC represents a different resource ID).

Create a New Inspection Plan of type Final Inspection - Production for resource XYZ:

1. In the Quality Planning work center go to the Common Tasks and select New Inspection Plan. 
2. Select Inspection type Final inspection - production. 
3. Under step 1 - Define Key Parameters maintain resource XYZ. 
4. Complete all other relevant details and activate the inspection plan.

Now you can  release the production order.
