An user has an item showing as Pending Observation on his learning plan, but is not able to see who is assigned to the task and the admin is not able to find the task observation request.
Reproducing the Issue
Proxy the user who has the item assigned and check that it is Pending Observation, but there is not any action available for the item.
The option "User Can Request Observation" is not checked from the item Task Checklist Settings, this means that the user is not able to request observation by himself and this has to be done by an LMS admin.
The admin can assign the task to an observer by navigating to Users>Tools> Assign Task Observers;
- Search and open the item;
- Go to Tasks (under related area);
- Click on Task Checklist Settings;
- Check the option for User Can Request Observation;
- Save changes.
