Cause

You may have updated the ReferenceDate by opening the CSV file in Microsoft Excel. The Update is failing when the CSV file is opened for modification in Microsoft Excel because Microsoft Excel approximates large numbers (ReferenceDate in this case).

Resolution

If the file is opened using CSV editor then there is no approximation, and the file Update works correctly. It is recommended to use a CSV editor instead of Microsoft Excel to process data.

You may follow the below steps in the system:

  1. Use the Notepad++ to edit your CSV file
  2. Save the exported CSV file on your system
  3. Right Click on the CSV file and select Edit with Notepad++
  4. Make the changes to the ReferenceDate field
  5. Select Encoding and Select Convert UTF-8
  6. Save the file on Menu->File->Save as
  7. Provide a name for the file and add the extension .CSV for example: filename.csv
  8. Upload this file in Data Workbench

Check the Products workcenter for the respective Registered Products to understand if the Reference Date is updated.

Note:
You may use software which is approved by your organization/IT.

Further, refer section 1.2 from Data Workbench User Guide on guidelines to update CSV files.
