Symptom

When initiating a candidate in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting the following error messages is received: Unable to initiate onboarding process. [User {Insert User ID} does not exist in Onboarding.]

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to SAP SuccessFactors HCM > Recruiting > Requisition
  2. Select a candidate and click Initiate Onboarding
  3. The following error message is received: Unable to initiate onboarding process. [User {Insert User ID} does not exist in Onboarding.]

Cause

Recruiter/Hiring Manager/HR Manager user account is not available in SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Resolution

For Live Customers

Please check if the following BizX USERID is available in SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding:

  1. User who initiated the Onboarding
  2. Hiring Manager (HiringManager) of the affected candidate
  3. HR Manager (HRManager) of the affected candidate

If need further assistance reach out to SAP SuccessFactors Cloud Product Support in SAP One Support Launchpad via SAP Expert Chat or Support Incident with the product component of LOD-SF-OBD-INT. Kindly provide the following details and support will investigate.

  1. BizX Company ID
  2. Environment (Production or Preview)
  3. Affected Candidate Details (Complete Name, Applicant ID, Candidate ID)
  4. Support Access

For Implementation Partner(s) or Consultant(s)

  • BizX USERID and Onboarding LoginID should be the same or present in both system
  • If the USERID is missing, ensure that Onboarding User Sync is running properly
  • In addition, please ensure that user affected is included in the report
