2658241 - Timestamp data type in HANA not working in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • Timestamp data type defined in HANA is not recognised as Date time dimension when loaded into SAC
  • Unable to use timestamp dimension in Time series chart
  • Unable to 'Set a range' on timestamp Dimension

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2018.10

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In HANA studio, define a Date as Timestamp data type
  2. Launch SAC
  3. Import data
  4. Insert Time series chart
  5. Try to add the timestamp dimension
  6. Notice it's not listed

Cause

Resolution

  • This new feature is working in 2018.11
