2652674 - Ad Hoc reports are not respecting Field Level restrictions for custom fields in background elements.

Symptom

Employee Profile Ad Hoc reports are not respecting Field Level restrictions for the following fields in background elements:

IFLD6, IFLD7, IFLD8,
FFLD5, FFLD6, FFLD7, FFLD8
VFLD16, VFLD17, VFLD18, VFLD19, VFLD20

Environment

SuccessFactors Ad Hoc Reporting, Employee Profile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create Custom columns in one or more Background elements with any of the aforementioned field-names
  2. Restrict access to these fields for certain users
  3. Ensure that Ad Hoc Field Level permissions are enabled for Employee Profile Sub Domain Schema (Provisioning)
  4. Create an Ad Hoc report for Employee Profile
  5. Select the Background Element(s) under concern
    Expected Behaviour:
    All the fields the user hasn't been granted access to , should be grayed out and unselectable

    Actual Behaviour:
    Fields listed above, are available for selection and do not respect the field level restrictions.
    However, the following fields respect Field Level Restrictions:

    IFLD1 - IFLD5, FFLD1 - FFLD4, VFLD1- VFLD15

Resolution

The Engineering teams are currently working on a fix for the issue.

Interim work-around:
Please use one of the following fields as a replacement:
IFLD1 - IFLD5, 
FFLD1 - FFLD4, 
VFLD1- VFLD15
