Posting job requisitions is now supported in rules as of b1711. We have introduced a new object in Job Requisition base object called 'Job Postings'. This object will be available in both individual Job Requisition Template and Job Requisition (All) base object (aggregate of all job requisitions).
Job Posting object will have different posting options added to it as child objects. As of b1711, we are supporting 4 type of postings:
- External Posting
- External Private Posting
- Internal Posting
- Internal Private Posting
Each posting object will have its own child objects. All 5 objects will be available under the 4 posting objects
How it looks like in Rules Creation Page:
Similar with other RCM objects, you can compare these objects to a specific value, or another object.
Reproducing the Issue
A. Creating a Job Posting that will post the job immediately
We recommend adding a check that if the posting is not available and if the requisition is in Approved status, then only then I want to Create the job posting.
You can the use the ‘Create’ function when creating a rule that will create a job posting. After selecting 'Create', only the following objects can be selected under Job Requisition Base object: External Posting, External Private Posting, Internal Posting and Internal Private Posting.
To create a posting, you need to choose any of the posting options below. After selecting any of the posting options, a new widget will appear on the right which sets the Posting Start Date and Posting End Date.
Users have different options in setting up the Posting Start Date and Posting End Date. You can either set a hardcoded date and time or use available functions like Create DateTime().
Follow Best Practices to set the following values to see the job posting immediately:
Sample rule when creating a job posting
In the screenshot below, I created a rule that will create an External Job Posting with Posting Start Date equal to Today and Posting Start Time equal to 00:00:00 UTC+0 and Posting End Date equal to 60 days from Today and Posting End Time equal to 11:59:59 am UTC+0.
- Create’ function should only be used when creating a job posting for requisition that has NOT been posted yet, meaning the Posting Start Date or Posting End Date is null in the Job Posting page. Create function will NOT update a job posting that has already been defined for a job requisition, even if it is already expired.
- Support for updating and deleting existing job postings is in future road map
