You are trying to update account sales data using the Data Workbench tool, but you are receiving the following error message in the error log:
"Update of Sales Data key not allowed with active ERP data exchange"
SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer - all its versions.
Reproducing the Issue
Go to the Data Workbench work center, in Import view.
Click on the radio button 'Individual Objects'.
Click on the 'Update' button.
Select the object 'Account Sales Data'.
Click on Next.
Upload your CSV file, click on 'Next'.
Finish the Import.
Go to the Monitor view.
Download the error file and see the error message.
The error message is caused because there is an integration active between Hybris Cloud for Customer and an external system, which involves the replication of customer accounts. This will prevent any mass changes to be performed in the sales data of accounts, by using any of the tools available in the system (mass data maintenance, data workbench or migration tool in modify or enhance modes).
There is a workaround that will allow you to massively update data while still having the master data of accounts integration active in the system.
Please note: This workaround should be done with caution, because it may affect the master data maintained in Hybris Cloud for Customer and the data maintained in the external system.
To achieve that it requires that you temporarily remove the External ID mapping of the Accounts you want to update massively:
In the Administrator work center under Common Tasks, choose Edit ID Mapping for Integration.
Take note of the external IDs and the accounts they belong to.
- Remove the external IDs of the accounts you would like to update.
- Perform the mass update.
- Go back to the Administrator work center under Common Tasks, choose Edit ID Mapping for Integration.
- Add the external ID mappings back to the system.
