2641309 - It's Not Possible to Add an Activity to a Campaign

Symptom

You want to add an Activity to a Campaign; but the buttons to add the Activities (Phone Calls, Tasks, E-Mails) are greyed out.

Environment

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

Prerequisite: a Campaign ABC in status Planned (ABC is the name of the Campaign).

  1. Go to the Sales Campaign workcenter.
  2. Go to the Campaigns view.
  3. Open the Campaign ABC.
  4. Go to the Activities facet.

Result: the buttons to add any Activity (Phone Calls, Tasks, E-Mails) are all greyed out.

Cause

The Campaign ABC is in status Planned; Activities can only be added to Campaigns in status Active. This is the designed system behaviour.

Resolution

You need to activate the Campaign ABC before you can add an Activity:

  1. Follow steps 1-3 as per above.
  2. Click the button Actions and then choose Activate.
