SAP SuccessFactors Learning Course Substitution
In SAP SuccessFactors Learning, you can allow users to take a substitute learning item to receive credit for a required learning item.
You often want to create substitute courses to give your users more flexibility to meet their learning requirements. For example, you might require users to complete a course that is offered in a classroom at headquarters, but all your employees might not work at the headquarters office. You might allow users to attend an online course as a substitution for the classroom course at headquarters.
When you allow users to attend a substitute course for a required course, you create a substitute relationship between the two courses. In the example above, you can say that the online course substitutes for the classroom course. You define that relationship in the required course by adding substitutes to the required learning item. In the example, you go to the classroom course and add the online course as a substitute: go to Learning Items, open the classroom course and then add the online course in Substitutes.
The Learning History connector needs Item B or Item C to give credit for A, so you need to think the other way. On the Cause example, if you want to give credit for the Classroom as you did the course online, you need to record the online course and it will appear automatically the credit for Classroom
