2622516 - Issues in working with Adhoc report with two or more Filter Groups

Symptom

Setting filter groups with different sets of conditions is ignored in output/preview of Ad Hoc reporting and we see restricted data despite the filter condition defined within the report.

Environment

Ad Hoc Report, Report Center(Report-Table)

Reproducing the Issue

- Navigate to Home > Reports > Reporting > Ad Hoc Reports >

- Create a new Ad Hoc report on PM schema and set two filter groups in the filters tab

- Say with two sets of conditions as below for a Performance Management reporting schema:

Filter group 1:

Filter is set to “Form Status Not Equal to Deleted”

Filter Group 2:

Filter is set to “Job Grade Not Equal to Group A”

- Changed filter to “By My Selection” and select all except ‘Deleted’ and still no change in output

Cause

Report definition has two filter groups which are added within the same domain.

Resolution

This is expected behaviour as two filter groups are added. When this happens there is an OR condition between filters hence all related data between two filters comes in the report. It may not satisfy first condition but it does satisfy second filter group condition in which case you would still see the first condition being ignored and all 'deleted' form data in output.
