Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Internal Logistics work Center
  2. In Common tasks, Choose Goods Movement
  3. Fill in all fields like Source Logistics Area PQR(PQR refers to Source Logistics Area) , Product  ABC (ABC refers to Product id), Target Logistics Area XYZ(XYZ refers to Target Logistics Area) etc

We observe product ABC is still allowed to move from LOA PQR (restricted to Storage Group - XY ) to Destination LOA XYZ (restricted to storage group - PQ ), although Material - ABC is assigned with different  Storage Group - PQ

Currently the restrictions on the Logistics Area like Uniformity, Storage Constrains( Storage Group, Product)  etc. are checked via the SDD Validation Engine.
SDD (Source and Destination Determination) validations are triggered only for execution related objects like Site Logistics Task (Inbound, Outbound & Internal) and Production Supply Task.
For Adhoc Process like  Goods Movement SDD Validation are not triggered. However the basic restrictions like Status of Logistics Area are checked in Goods Movement.

This is the standard behaviour as designed as per the current functionality
