2614826 - How to Add Fields to a New Custom Tab

Symptom

You have created a new custom tab in an Account, but there is no option to add fields to this tab in the Adaptation mode.

Environment

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Customers work center.
  2. Go to the Accounts view.
  3. Open the account ABC (ABC represents the ID of the account).
  4. Navigate to the new tab XYZ which you have created (XYZ represents the name of the custom tab).
  5. Select the Adaptation Mode and select Edit Master layout.
  6. The custom XYZ tab is missing in Screen Layout and Extension Fields section and therefore you are not able to add fields to it.

Cause

It is not possible to have the same field in the header area and in the new tab XYZ at the same time.

To add any fields to the new tab XYZ, these fields first need to be added to the header area.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Customers work center.
  2. Go to the Accounts view.
  3. Open the account ABC.
  4. Navigate to the new tab XYZ which you have created.
  5. Select the Adaptation Mode and select Edit Screen.
  6. Drag and drop the fields from the Header (left hand side panel) onto the new tab XYZ and Save.
