2613230 - You Receive an Error When Executing QueryByElements in The Cloud Application Studio


You receive an error message popup when executing QueryByElements on a standard business object in the Cloud Application Studio.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log onto the Tenant XYZ (XYZ represents the tenant you experience the issue in).
  2. Open the Cloud Application Studio.
  3. Open the Repository Explorer. If this is not visible, click the menu item View - Repository Explorer.
  4. Click on the Business Object tab.
  5. Search for the business object ABC (ABC represents Business Object you experience the issue with).
  6. Expand the Root node and locate the query QueryByElements.
  7. Right-Click and Execute Query.
  8. Click ok in the Dialog or enter a search parameter value.
  9. When you execute the query, you will see the error message popup on screen.
  10. When you close the dialog, the query will still execute as expected.


The latest patch for the Cloud Application Studio has not been installed.


You need to download the latest patch version of the Cloud Application Studio from the LaunchPad.

  1. Go to the LaunchPad site.
  2. Filter for Downloads.
  3. Search for Cloud Studio.
  4. Locate the required version.
  5. Open the category Maintenance Software Component.
  6. Download the Installer.

Once completed, you will not see the error message appear again.
