You are setting the Schedule Revenue checkbox in a Opportunity header and you expected to see similar information from the Define Revenue Distribution Pop-Up (when you are working with Item Revenue Schedule).

Reproducing the Issue
Go to the Sales work center.
- Open the Opportunities view.
- Open opportunity ABC (where ABC is the ID of an opportunity eligible for Scheduled Revenue).
- Click in the Schedule Revenue checkbox in the opportunity header.
You notice that the system does not show you a pop-up like the "Define Revenue Distribution" one, that appears when you work with Item Revenue Schedule (by clicking in Opportunity ABC -> Products facet, selecting a product and clicking in Add button in the Item Revenue Schedule pane).
When working with the Schedule Revenue in header level, the system will consider the fields Revenue Start Date, Revenue End Date and the Total Negotiated Value of the opportunity, splitting the Total Negotiated Value equally between the months for Revenue Start Date and Revenue End Date.
This is the system current behavior.
