2589086 - External ID Field Empty in Installation Point

Symptom

After replicating Installation Points successfuly from your ERP system you notice that the external ID is missing in the header of the installation point.

Reproducing the Issue

You have replicated Installation Points from your ERP system to Cloud For Customer. The replication is successful and ID mapping is created properly but in the Installation Point header the External ID field is empty.

Cause

The information `External ID`is usually filled from the field 'AlternativeLabel' in the message and not from the ID mapping entry.
In The message this field is empty, which means that also the UI field will not be filled.

The reason for that is that in ERP usually the technical functional location ID is not defined in a user friendly format, e.g. ?000312412. For this, customers in the most cases use alternative labels to define readable ID's.

These labels are used in the UI everywhere to access the corresponding functional locations. In Cloud for Customer we store the technical ID in the ID mapping and the alternative ID as external ID.

Resolution

To resolve the issue you need to send the 'AlternativeLabel' from your external system.
