2584413 - Tables not displayed in a story when opening in the mobile application - SAP Analytics Cloud

A story containing a responsive layout with tables and charts only shows the charts in the mobile application. Opening the story using desktop browser correctly displays both: table and charts.

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2017.24.4
  • SAP Analytics mobile application 2.13.1

Reproducing the Issue

This can only be reproduced in some iPhones, other iPad and iPhones correclty display the table.

  1. Create a story using a responsive layout
  2. Add a table and a chart
  3. Share that story with a "read-only" user
  4. Using the mobile app, with that "read-only" user, open the story. The table is missing and only the chart is displayed.

This is a known behaviour for older versions of iPad and iPhone.

Due to the high memory consumption on table widget, the mobile application only support the following devices as indicated in the documentation.

Requires iOS 10.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone and iPad only.

Requires an iOS mobile device with 2 GB of RAM or more (iPhone 6s or later, iPad Air 2 or later, iPad Pro). For the best experience, use an iPad Pro or a mobile device with a fast processor and a good data or WiFi connection.
