Reproducing the Issue
When the integration with First Advantage is in place an error message is displayed when intitiating the background check.
- Go to Recruiting module
- Open the desired job requisition and candidate
- Select the account and Package
- Click submit
- Error message is displayed
The issue is being caused due to special characters. FADV integration is not being able to interpret special characters.
Please check if the candidate profile has any special character. If that is the case, remove the special character and you will be able to proceed with the background check.
The engineering team is aware of this issue and they are already working to fix the bahavior. When they conclude their work, the clients will be able to initiate background check.

In case you are facing the same issue, please remove the special characters in order to be able to proceed with background check. Engineering team already developed a code fix and it is being delivered within the next system release 2018Q1 (Mar-10th Preview, Apr-07th Production).
