You want to maintain Language Translation for Service Categories/Incident Categories using Languge Adaptation but the these texts are not available for translation.
Reproducing the Issue
Go to Service work center.
Go to Tickets view.
Create a new Ticket.
Use the value help to select a value for field Service Category.
These values are not available in Language Adaptation for Language Translation.
Only static UI, code, message, and report texts can be translated using Language Adaptation.
It's up to the applications to provide UI's for translating those texts or at least provide descriptions in a fallback language (e.g EN) in case there's no description maintained in the current language.
There are two ways to maintain the Language Translation for the text part for category (i.e. name and description):
- By Excel upload during the catalogue creation time.
- The other is to login to the preferred language and enter the text part of the category.
Since this is a transactional data so there is no center tool to maintain the translation.
