In the Admin section of Workforce Analytics / Advanced Reporting, you have the option to Purge Advanced Reporting Metadata Cache
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core
- Workforce Analytics
Reproducing the Issue
Without Report Center:
Analytics > Admin > On the right hand side you will see the option Purge Advanced Reporting Metadata Cache.
With Report Center:
Reporting > Run/Edit/Created any Report Canvas > Click Admin > On the right hand side you will see the option Purge Advanced Reporting Metadata Cache.
This option is now available due to your instance being migrated to View-Based Metadata rather than on the traditional Persisted Metadata. With VBM, metadata is generated on the fly from (mostly) static SQL views.
Difference between traditional Persisted Metadata vs. View-Based Metadata:
When do I Purge Advanced Reporting Metadata Cache?
Data Model changes are tracked hourly and cache is purged when any occurs automatically. However, MDF configuration changes are not tracked at this time, so to see MDF config changes with a warm cache, you will need to purge app server org cache i.e. the button Purge Advanced Reporting Metadata Cache.
Who has permission to do this?
Users that are Implementation Partners have access to this tool.
This option can be enabled by Support as described via the KBA 2573340
